Northern Beaches Advocate: Pittwater MP Jacqui Scruby (main image) has called for a halt to planned speed limit reductions on Barrenjoey Road.
As was revealed by the Northern Beaches Advocate last week, Transport for NSW (TfNSW) published notification of a change on its website that would see all speed limits north of Mona Vale reduced to 50 km/h (or slower).
The changes would see the sections of Barrenjoey Road north of Beaconsfield Street at Newport that were still 60 km/h reduced to 50 km/h. TfNSW said the review was triggered by ‘community concerns’, identifying 46 crashes between July 2019 and June 2024.
