Our electorate has been battered by the recent storms and flash flooding which have damaged many homes and infrastructure. I want to extend a huge thank you to our amazing emergency service crews, including the volunteer-run SES, who have been working around the clock to restore road function, assist with damage and get our community moving. Sincere thanks as well to all those who assisted neighbours, particularly in Narrabeen and Mackeral Beach, who had to be evacuated or were seriously impacted. The clean-up and recovery may take some time. My office is here to help in the aftermath, assisting in connecting you with services, and understanding any issues you are facing – so I can advocate on your behalf. Whether it’s management of Narrabeen Lagoon, insurance related issues or restoration of power – we can help facilitate an outcome. Learning from this experience is also important for future policy and although I’ll be meeting with residents' groups, I also encourage you to contact me directly with information on excessive storm damage. Here it is a stark reminder that we must address climate change – including making our communities more resilient – as we face a future of more extreme weather more frequently. |
2026 Priorities |

There is already a lot on the agenda for 2026 and my office and I are getting prepped for another busy year with Parliament commencing in just over a fortnight.
My focus in 2026 is firmly on standing up for our community and delivering practical results, building on last year's successes.
My immediate priorities include retaining private services at Northern Beaches Hospital after it transitions to public hands. The much anticipated agreement between Healthscope and the NSW Government was finalised at the end of December. It is an important milestone and a win for patients, staff and the Pittwater community but we still need clarity on the availability of private services and private clinicians need certainty from the government. I will also continue to challenge the Liberal–Labor developer-led planning reforms that sideline community voices. Other important issues include roads, transport, e-bike safety, beach safety, and enforcement against illegal vape and tobacco retailers.
As you hopefully know by now, I’m not one to back away from a challenge…and I’m looking forward another year working with my wonderful community to get things done. |

2026 NSW Community Building Partnership Grants |

Guidelines for the 2026 NSW Community Building Partnership Grants should be finalised soon. It is expected that around $450,000 will be available in total for Pittwater not -for-profit organisations, including, sports clubs, with grants ranging from around $10,000 to $100,000 for things like community infrastructure, equipment and vehicles.

The NSW Seniors Festival runs from 2 -15 March, so now’s your chance to nominate a local senior who goes above and beyond for Pittwater. If you know someone aged 60+ (or 50+ if Aboriginal) who has made an outstanding contribution — through community service, healthy living, cultural or creative achievements, or a lifetime of dedication — nominate them today. Roads update: Mona Vale Road West, Wakehurst Parkway/Elanora Rd intersection |

Pittwater has benefited from recent road resurfacing at Narrabeen, the Bilgola Bends and Warriewood after my recent advocacy, but Mona Vale Road West and sections of Pittwater Road still need urgent attention to make them safe. Read more. I'm pushing the NSW government for urgent resurfacing of the unfinished Mona Vale Road West, while we wait for the fully funded upgrade. Meanwhile, I'm pleased to announce that Transport for NSW has agreed to review its proposed upgrade of the dangerous Elanora Road and Wakehurst Parkway intersection - following strong community warnings that the initial proposal could lead to serious injuries or deaths. Sign my petition to expand drone coverage to improve beach safety |

I'm calling for more funding in the 2026 Budget to expand the Surf Lifesaving NSW and Surfing NSW Shark Mitigation Drone Programs, especially in metro areas like the Northern Beaches. Read more. With recent shark encounters in Dee Why and Avalon and further afield, this is a priority.
