We are excited to announce that Northern Beaches Council has opened applications for the first round of the Better Together Delivery Grants.
The Better Together Delivery Grants program supports incorporated organisations to deliver projects and services that address identified priority areas from Better Together 2040, helping to create a safe, inclusive, diverse and connected Northern Beaches.
The program provides multi-year funding to eligible organisations addressing ONE of THREE key priorities:
1. Improving service access and inclusion
- Reducing barriers to safety-related services and information
- Removing barriers to participation for priority populations
- Ensuring services, information and community spaces are culturally safe and accessible
- Reducing barriers to information, programs and community facilities
2. Prevention and early intervention
- Addressing safety issues before they reach crisis point
- Identifying and addressing barriers before they become entrenched
- Engaging with diverse communities early, before barriers become entrenched
- Identifying and responding to social isolation before it becomes entrenched
3. Strengthening community capacity and partnerships
- Building the capacity of the local social services sector to respond to safety-related challenges and deliver inclusive services
- Building sustained partnerships with culturally diverse communities, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and LGBTQ+ communities
- Strengthening the volunteering culture and community networks that underpin connection
Grant funding of up to $100,000 per year for three years is available.
