Applications now open for NSW National Carers Week Grants 2026

Local not-for-profit organisations in Pittwater are encouraged to apply for funding through the NSW National Carers Week Grants to host a wide range of activities supporting and recognising carers in our local community.

Member for Pittwater, Jacqui Scruby, said: “This is a great opportunity to organise events and activities that recognise the vital role carers play in the Pittwater community.”

Grants of $1,000 to $2,000 are available for not-for-profit organisations to deliver community activities and events that celebrate and support carers during National Carers Week.

Examples of activities funded in 2025 include:

  • Community events such as picnics, morning or afternoon teas, cooking classes and appreciation luncheons
  • Programs such as wellbeing, skill development and self-care workshops, as well as meditation classes
  • Initiatives that recognise the contribution of carers across all ages and backgrounds

“Carers are such a vital part of the Pittwater community, providing much needed support and care to some of our most vulnerable residents - often quietly and without recognition. It is so important we take the time to give them the acknowledgement they deserve.”

“I encourage all eligible organisations to consider applying.”
Applications close on 25 May 2026.

National Carers Week will be held from 11 to 17 October 2026.
