Jacqui Scruby MP is hosting a Community Planning Forum on Monday 3 November to help our community better understand the NSW Government’s new Low to Mid-Rise Housing Policy and the Planning Reform Bill 2025.
These bipartisan reforms are the biggest planning reforms in 50 years. They will result in more complying developments, even for low to mid rise, with less opportunity for community submissions. They also provide for more accelerated development pathways and spot rezonings.
James Farrington, Director of Planning and Place at Northern Beaches Council has also kindly agreed to present and answer questions on both of these major new reforms.
These major changes will affect how planning decisions are made and how future development occurs in Pittwater, particularly in Mona Vale as a designated “town centre”. This forum is an opportunity for the forum to hear directly from both myself, and James Farrington, Northern Beaches Council and have your questions answered.
